The planoconvex shape is minimizing the spherical aberration for imaging a distant object or focusing a laser beam.

These lenses are working close to diffraction limit when the focal length is exceeding 10 times the beam diameter.

We offer BK7 and Fused Silica uncoated lenses, as well as visible 400-700 nm Anti Reflexion coated BK7 lenses and near infrared 700-1100 nm  Anti Reflexion coated BK7 lenses
